A launch ceremony was recently held for an innovation centre for Chinese medical sciences for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The centre is jointly established by the University of Macau (UM), Hong Kong Baptist University, and Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine. The event attracted hundreds of experts and scholars in the field of Chinese medical sciences from China and abroad. During a meeting after the ceremony, Wang Yitao, director of UM’s State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine, told the experts and scholars about the latest progress of UM’s Chinese medical research and effort to establish a platform for international collaboration. He also pointed out the university’s achievements in the publishing of high-end academic papers, training of young research talent, and the industrialisation of research results.
