One group of UM students, led by FHS Assistant Dean Chen Guokai and Dr Li Gang, visited Tongji Medical College of the Huazhong University of Science and Technology in Wuhan to learn more about the university’s medical achievements and Wuhan’s development in medical sciences. In addition to visits to Wuhan Botanical Garden, Wuhan Union Hospital, and the Hubei Institute for Drug Control, the students conducted an experiment about liquid chromatography under the instructions of a scholar from the School of Pharmacy of Tongji Medical College.

Another group of UM students, led by Dr Zhao Qi and Dr Di Lijun from the FHS, visited Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Yangzhou University. The UM students also visited the Shanghai Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine and a traditional Chinese clinic to learn more about the various Chinese medical techniques.
