Two PhD students from the Department of Chinese, University of Macau (UM), won three prizes at the Chinese Postgraduate Poetry Competition 2013, the best results UM’s Department of Chinese has ever achieved at poetry competitions. Prof. Sze Yee Tui is very pleased with the results, saying that the good results show that the dual emphasis the Department of Chinese has placed on theories and writing practice in PhD training has proved effective.
