Admission Team

The Admission Team is mainly responsible for:

  • local and non-local students admission (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas students);

  • application and selection process of different undergraduate admission channel (Principals' Recommended Admission, Admission Examination, Direct & Transfer Admission);

  • promotional activities for undergraduate admission;

  • co-ordination of Admission Examinations, Preferential Admission Scheme for Admission Examination and Admission Examination Scholarship;

  • admission for exchange students;

  • admission for students with disability;

  • new students' registration for undergraduate programmes;

  • generation and analysis of undergraduate admission statistics.

Undergraduate Studies Team

The Undergraduate Studies Team is mainly responsible for:

  • undergraduate students' status management, applications for deferment/resumption of studies and check-out/withdrawal;

  • class scheduling for undergraduate programmes;

  • scheduling of internal final examinations;

  • co-ordination of applications for minor programmes, course enrolment, course add/drop, transfer of programme/major, course exemptions and course waivers of undergraduate programmes;

  • issuance of official documents such as testimonials and transcripts of all degree programmes;

  • issuance of campus cards of undergraduate students (issuance of campus cards of postgraduate programmes was taken up by the Graduate School from 3 January 2012).

Academic Services & Statistics Team

The Academic Services & Statistics Team is mainly responsible for:

  • production of student statistics;

  • co-ordination of new programme accreditation and external academic review visits;

  • preparation and revision of undergraduate academic regulations/guidelines;

  • handling records of undergraduate scholarships and awards;

  • preparation of tuition fee schemes;

  • production of promotional materials/publications such as Undergraduate Admissions Handbook and UM Academic Calendar;

  • co-ordination of academic committees, Congregation and quality management projects;

  • printing of graduation certificates (distribution of graduation certificates of postgraduate programmes was taken up by the Graduate School from 3 January 2012).
