Lições de Processo Civil I, a law text book published by the University of Macau (UM), has been adopted by the Eduardo Mondlane University in Mozambique as teaching manual for its faculty of law students. Authored by Prof. Cândida Antunes Pires, this book is the 16th work of Law Text Books Collection of Faculty of Law and is used as the teaching manual for the third-year students of Civil Procedural Law of the Bachelor of Law in Portuguese Language Program. As far as UM is concerned, this work is an important contribution of the Faculty of Law of University of Macau to internationalization.
 
Faculty of Law of UM began the compilation of the Law Text Books Collection in 1996, with the aim to meet the demand for law books on basic legal issues and to promote the legal development of Macao. Law Text Books Collectionis a reference material for teaching and research. It serves as a teaching material and provides notes, monographs and other research findings for law students, teachers, researchers and legal professionals.
 
A veteran legal consultant and academic, Prof. Cândida Antunes Pires has written numerous books on the laws of Macao for the Macao SAR Government and has published many academic papers and monographs, including Legal Guide on Law Family in Macau, Code of Civil Procedure (text in force in Macau), Noções Gerais de Direito da Família to name a few, The Organization of Justice in the Legal System of Macau – Statics and Dynamics of the Macau SAR Courts, and Justiça Arbitral em Macau – A Arbitragem Voluntária Interna.
 
Presently most teaching manuals used in Mozambique and others Portuguese Speaking Countries in Africa are essentially originated from Portugal.
