The University of Macau will launch the Chronicle of Macao next month through Guangdong People’s Publishing House. This monumental, six-volume work, co-authored by three renowned experts in the field Wu Zhiliang, Tang Kaijian and Jin Guoping, vividly depicts the unique and eventful history of Macao over the past more than 450 years. The unique landscape of Macao as a result of the blending of Chinese and western cultures is truthfully represented with over three million words. The timing of its release which coincides with the 10th anniversary of Macao SAR gives it high political significance, social value, and academic status.
