The University of Macau (UM) recently held the Biomedical Sciences Summer Camp 2018, which attracted a total of 60 students from different secondary schools in Macao. There were four themes for the experiments in this year’s camp: basic techniques of biology experiments, cell and molecule biology, genetics, and bioinformatics. Sponsored by the Science and Technology Development Fund of the Macao SAR, the camp aimed to increase students’ interest in biomedical research and help them learn more about the latest technologies in the field. Some participants say the camp made them want to pursue a career in the related fields.
