21 students from the University of Macau (UM) Honours College recently participated in an exchange trip to Guizhou province to learn more about the region’s history and development of big data. Led by Mok Kai Meng, dean of the HC; and Li Yongxian, deputy director of the Department of Education and Culture of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, the students visited various places in Guiyang, including Guizhou Big Data Comprehensive Pilot Area Exhibition Centre and Guizhou University. At the university, the students attended a lecture on big data and exchanged ideas with the local students. Members of the delegation also laid flowers in front of a local memorial to honour the fallen soldiers of the Red Army.
