The canteens of several residential colleges at the University of Macau (UM) have updated their main menus by adding a pizza menu, which includes pizzas of different flavours, deep-fried foods, and new vegetable dishes. Items on the pizza menu are served once a week. The updates also include a new cart noodles menu and a baked rice menu.

The pizza menu was launched on 3 March. Foods served on that day included seafood pizzas with Thousand Island sauce, spaghetti, chicken cutlets, and assorted baked vegetables. The new menu attracted many students even before the lunch-hour rush. The queues were so long that canteen operators had to open new lines.

The menu updates are the result of the joint effort of the RC house associations and staff members. They held many meetings with the supplier to discuss students’ feedback on food quality and dining services.
