A delegation from the Ministry of Education, led by Vice Minister Du Zhanyuan, today (27 October) visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Council Chair Lam Kam Seng, Rector Wei Zhao, Vice Rector (Research) Rui Martins, and Vice Rector (Administration) Kou Mei. Lam thanked the ministry for its support to UM. Rector Zhao told the guests about UM’s latest developments, development strategies, educational philosophy, and model of education. Du praised UM for its learning environment, educational philosophy, residential college system, and teaching and research achievements in language and literature, adding that the university has produced many exemplary graduates for China. Members of the delegation visited Chao Kuang Piu College, the UM Wu Yee Sun Library, and the University Gallery. They also visited the State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI in the company of Vice Rector Martins and Faculty of Science and Technology professor U Seng Pan.
