To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the University of Macau (UM) will organize a Round-campus Run Competition and Happy Walk. The activity is now accepting entries. UM hopes to celebrate, through this activity, its Silver Jubilee with staff, students and alumni. The event also aims to enhance the students’ sense of belonging and to promote sports on campus.

The Round-campus Run Competition and Happy Walk of UM will be held, on 29 April (Saturday), at 11:00 am. Participants will be categorized into Men’s Group, Women’s Group and Walking Group. They will start at the Ground Floor of East Asia Hall of UM and pass through various buildings and facilities of the university. Finally they will finish at the Ground Floor of East Asia Hall. The length of the route is about 2,500 metres. UM students, teachers, alumni and administrative staff are all welcome to join. The winners ranked 1st to 10th will be awarded a trophy each. In addition, the Champions will each receive MOP1,200 of prize money, the First runner-up MOP1,000, while the Second runner-up MOP800. All participants (including the Walking Group) who finish the route will be awarded a certificate and UM 25th Anniversary souvenirs.

Interested parties may get the regulations and the entry forms for this activity from the Student Affairs Office (Room A106, Administrative Building) of UM. These materials may also be downloaded from the website (www.umac.mo/so). Completed entry forms may be submitted directly to the Student Affairs Office.
