Dr. Paul W. T. POON, Librarian of the University of Macau (UM), has been invited to be a member of the Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Library and Information Science Quarterly, published by the National Science Library of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). The Journal is the first internationally published and peer-reviewed English-language scholarly journal in this subject area. To ensure world-class quality of this scholarly journal, it has assembled a distinguished Editorial Board consisting of world-renowned scholars in the area of library and information science including Dr. Paul W. T. POON of UM, Mr. Michael Keller of Stanford University, Ms. Alice Prochaska of Yale University, Mr. Gary Strong of University of California, Los Angeles, and Mr. Qiang ZHU of Peking University.
Dr. Poon is a veteran librarian and an active researcher in library and information science. He has pointed out that by sitting on the Board, he can bring the presence of the University of Macau Library into the international arena of academic librarianship and information science. Through this connection, the UM Library will surely enhance its visibility among academic libraries in the world.
