The University of Macau (UM) Faculty of Law Centre for Law Studies will hold the Seventh International Conference on the Legal Reforms of Macau in Global Context – The Urban Planning Policy and Economic and Social Development of Macau –Legal Perspective, on 30 October and 31 October.

 

Scholars from renowned universities in Macao, mainland China, Taiwan, Portugal, Brazil, and Singapore, as well as local legal experts will attend the conference and discuss a wide range of topics, including some controversial issues in urban planning; the legal instruments for urban policy development in Macao, Portugal and Singapore; the relationships between urban planning policies, architecture, engineering and techniques; and the application and future development of urban planning policies.

 

The conference will be held in the E4-G062 lecture hall, Anthony Lau Building, UM. The first day of the conference will last from 9:00am to 6:30pm, and the second day from 9:30am to 6:30pm. Simultaneous interpretation between Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and Portuguese will be available. All are welcome. For enquiries, please call 88224765.
