Dr. Xue Hanqin, an expert in international law, the first Chinese female judge of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations, and doctor honoris causa of the University of Macau (UM), will give a talk entitled “International Law in a Pluralistic World” at UM on 7 May.  Part of UM’s Doctor honoris causa Lecture Series, Dr. Xue’s talk will be focused on the basic principles, challenges, and opportunities in international law within the context of the historical changes of international law and recent developments in international relations.

The lecture will take place on Wednesday 7 May at UM Library’s STDM Auditorium on the current campus. It will begin at 5:00pm. The lecture will be conducted in Putonghua, with simultaneous interpretation into English.
