Interactive Teaching Tools

ICTO provides two types of computer interactive teaching tools – MimioTeach and MimioPad for academic staff user to reserve and use for conducting their classes.

Introduction

MimioTeach is an interactive system consists of MimioTeach bar and, MimioHub receiver which turns any ordinary whiteboard into an interactive whiteboard. With MimioTeach you can:

  1. Import existing lessons from popular applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat;
  2. Save your whiteboard notes and drawings to your computer;
  3. Record video lessons to reuse whenever you want;
  4. Record audio files using your computer’s microphone;

MimioPad is a wireless tablet. It comes with a wireless USB receiver that communicates automatically with the computer use. With it, you’re free to move around. You can pay special attention to individual students and manage your classroom more effectively. Also multiple tablets can be connected to one computer. Students love to take turns using a MimioPad tablet and click on the whiteboard without leaving their seats. Additionally, the system enables students with limited mobility to participate without going to the whiteboard.
