User Accounts

General Accounts

There are two kinds of general computer accounts: staff and student accounts. All current staff and students of the University of Macau are eligible to have individual computer account for the general computing services operated by Information and Communication Technology Office.

Special Accounts

This type of account is setup to facilitate the work of a department, a research group, or a production application system. It can be used for storing programs or data files with access shared by a group of users.

Temporary Accounts

This type of account is used by people or organizations who are closely associated with the University of Macau. Examples of people who may be granted temporary accounts include academic visitors to the UM, exchange students, and research associates.
