Summer Course of Portuguese Language and Culture

Deadline for application:

-        25th of April 2012 for non-local students

-        6^th of May for local students

Local students must contact the Department of Portuguese or the Coordinator because the regulations are different.

General Information

The 1st Summer Course of Portuguese Language and Culture in Macau was organized by ICM (Cultural Institute of Macau) in July of 1986. Starting from the 5th intake (1990), the Summer Course has been organized by the University of Macao , in cooperation with the Education and Youth Department, and the Portuguese Oriental Institute. In the year 2000 we had also the cooperation of IPM. In 2001-2005 it has been organized by UM, IPM and DSEJ. Since 2006 till 2009 it has been organized by UM and DSEJ. Since 2010 it is organized by the University of Macau . The Summer Course of Portuguese Language and Culture gives participants from different countries an opportunity to improve their skills in Portuguese or to start learning this language.
