The English Department is a dynamic department with some 200 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Nineteen full-time faculty, working in literature, linguistics, translation, and cultural studies, produce internationally-recognised research and provide quality teaching. The Department is also active in the community, working with local schools and educators to promote the teaching of English and encourage reading and creativity.
