Style Instruction to Contributors

The manuscript:

  • There is no definite limit on the length of papers. However, normally the length of the paper should fall within the range of 2000-6000 words. The papers must be in English, typed in double spacing on one side of A4 paper only.
  • All the pages should be numbered consecutively and should be arranged under headings and subheadings.

Cover page:

The cover page of the manuscript should contain the following information:

  • the full title, the affiliation(s) and address(es), e-mail address(s), phone and fax nos. of the author(s);
  • a running title of not more than 80 characters
  • the name and address of the author who will be responsible for correspondence and other duties.

Abstracts:

  • Authors are requested to include an abstract of no more than 200 words summarising the objectives, major findings, methodology and conclusions of the paper.

Keywords:

  • Authors should also provide 3-6 keywords that clearly describe the subject matter of the paper for indexing.

Heading and sub-heading:

  • Headings should be numbered consecutively as 1, 2, etc. Subheading should be numbered as 1.1, 1.2, etc.

Figures, charts, diagrams and other illustrations:

  • These should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and labeled as Figure I, Figure 2 etc. together with a brief title.
  • Figures should be camera-ready and printed on separate sheets of paper, and an indication made in the text as to where they should appear.

Tables:

  • Tables should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and labeled as Table I, Table. 2 etc. together with a brief title
  • Tables should be camera-ready and printed on separate sheets of paper, and an indication made in the text as so where they should appear.

References:

  • The Harvard System should be used.
  • Cite other work in the text with both authors last name (without any title) and year, e.g. Fama (1991), or if more than two authors, Blomquist et. al. (1988).
  • Reference to the same author in the same year should be differentiated by using 1990a, and 1990b etc.
  • List alphabetically by the first authors? last names under the heading Reference at the end of the paper in the following form.

Authors wishing to acknowledge any organization or persons for providing data, financial support and any other significant contributions can do so in a separate paragraph under the heading Acknowledgements.

Footnotes:

  • Do not use explanatory notes if they can be readily included in the text.
  • Explanatory notes should be numbered consecutively in the text and denoted by superscript.
