1. |
Duration
of Studies: 12 Semesters (6 Years) Full Time students must
complete their studies within 12 semesters. Students who cannot complete
their studies (graduate) within 12 semesters will be required to discontinue
their studies. For details, please

2. |
Course
Enrollment Students are
responsible for their own correct enrolment records. Students should check their
enrolment records, study plans and perform their own self grad checks. Please
note: · Students cannot graduate if they
do not fulfill the requirements (required courses and credits) of the study
program. · Students cannot enroll in courses
if tuition fee is outstanding. If tuition fee is settled after the deadline
for the tuition fee payment, enrollment for the student during the enrollment
period may be delayed. · Students shall not be allowed to
take courses where lecture-time schedules conflict. · If a course is being offered
(regardless of which semester), students cannot use another course to replace
it. If necessary, students may need to delay their graduation to wait for the
required course to be offered in the next semester or academic year. · Requests to add or drop courses
after Add/Drop period will not be allowed, · Enrolment records cannot be
changed after course confirmation period. o
For courses taken which are not enrolled in – NO GRADE WILL BE
GIVEN. o
For courses not attended but not dropped – F GRADE WILL BE
GIVEN. o
W grade will be given for courses approved by the Dean to be dropped
after Course Confirmation Period. For details, please

3. |
Absent
from Classes: BAN FROM FINAL EXAM FOR STUDENTS WITH ABSENCES OF MORE THAN 20% A student who is
absent without applying for leave of absence from a course for more than 20% of
its scheduled teaching periods in the aggregate will not be allowed to take
the final examination and will receive a failing grade for that course. For details, please

4. |
Discontinuation
of Studies Students will be
required to discontinue their studies if: · They have failed two-thirds of the
credit units for courses taken in two consecutive registered semesters will
normally be required to discontinue their studies. · They have a cumulative GPA below
1.70 in any three consecutive registered semesters. For details, please

Progression
of Status
For students admitted into the Bachelor Degree
Program in FBA on September 1st 2009 or after, the progression from Year One
to Year Four is according to credits earned.

Request
for Leave Students who are sick, representing the University

5. |
Processing
of Graduations Students should check the BBA Academic Calendar to
see when BBA Graduations are submitted to Registry for the University
Senate’s approval. Due to the graduation checking and approval process,
students should expect that their graduations will be completed at least one
and a half months after the Final Examination Period. Please note: graduations may be delayed if students
do not complete necessary applications, such as Course Waivers, N Codes to G
Codes or Major Declarations before FBA General Office process Graduation
Checks. |

6. |
Appeals
from Discontinuation of Studies Appeals from students who have been discontinued
from studies may not be entertained. If a student encounters a problem (such as a
sickness) during the semester that prevents them from performing well in
their studies, they should defer their studies immediately. Students who
appeal after being discontinued from studies due to poor performance for a
reason that was not reported in good time may not be entertained. |

7. |
Deferment
of Studies Students will not be allowed to defer studies for
the semester after the semester has ended. If a student encounters a problem (such as a sickness)
during the semester that prevents them from performing well in their studies,
they should defer their studies immediately. Students who apply for deferment
of studies following a poor performance for a reason that was not reported in
good time may not be entertained. |

8. |
No Resit
Exams will be approved for students taking FBA courses. Students failing FBA
courses will need to repeat them in the next available semester. |

|
9. |
Major
Declaration and Graduation from Approved Major in BBA Program Students will only be allowed to graduate from the
major they had been approved to enter. Even though a student has a final cumulative GPA of
2.0 or above and completes all the required courses from a major that they had
not been approved to enter, they WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GRADUATE FROM THAT MAJOR. Students wishing to change majors must apply for it and be officially approved. Please note, students can only be approved to change their major once. |
