We aim to link together all the UM accounting students, to provide a platform for them to interact with each other, as well as to impro-
ve their knowledge and skills in accounting field.

Our mission is to provide internationally recognized accounting ed- ucation and research and to serve the evolving needs of the busin- ess community. The specific objectives are to provide students wi- th Indepth training in the accounting discipline so as to give them
adequate preparation for their careers in the field of accounting; a
multi-disciplinary knowledge and analytical ability which make them aware of the complexity of the business environment; information
processing skills and communication skills; and a sound liberal ed- ucation which will render a sufficiently broad perspective to meet
future challenges brought about by the ever-changing environment.

The Accounting Major of the BBA Degree Programme at the

University of Macau provides an education which has a proper

balance of breadth and depth in accounting discipline, producing

accountants of an analytical and conceptual mind. Over the years,

our  students, graduates, research and consulting activities have

been  widely recognized both locally and internationally.

The distinct competencies of the Accounting Major, we provide

elite  training to our students. We work closely with the

International  Accounting Societies and our graduates are granted

ACCA exemptions for 9 out of 14 papers professional examination.

The CPA (Australia)  granted 12 out of 18 papers which are the

maximum exemption given  by both the Associations. From time to

time, we work closely with the  MSCPA to equip our students the

knowledge of the needs in Macau.
