The Department of Economics at University of Macau is an expanding teaching unit which has the objective of becoming a leading academic centre for economics, with an international reputation for research and teaching at all levels.

Applications from suitably qualified candidates are now invited for position(s) in Economics at Assistant Professor (Ref: FSH / DECO / ECON / ASI / 2010) or Associate Professor(Ref: FSH / DECO / ECON / ASO / 2010) level, depending on qualifications and experience, tenable from September 2010 subject to budget approval.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree and demonstrate research potential in any fields of Economics, though macroeconomics or related fields are preferable. Preference will be given to those with solid theoretical background and experience on empirical research. Teaching ability and experience of thesis supervision at the postgraduate level are preferable. For Associate Professor, at least five years’ teaching experience at Assistant Professor from a recognized university is required.
