The Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) was established ever since the establishment of the University of Macau.  We have been providing many varieties of higher adult education extension services to the public to progressively meet the needs of individuals, industries, and governmental agencies, and we shall continue doing so in the future. Our service mainly covers the areas of supporting adult students, staff training in the public and private sectors, supporting the cadres training in various mainland China provinces, curriculum development, international cultural exchange activities, and consultancy. We also organize related conferences, seminars, and educational activities. To be an academic division of the University, we are engaged actively in continuing education research as well. We hope to provide sufficient and diverse opportunities to adult learners and highly respect their individual needs and learning patterns. We pay close attention to curriculum design in order to prepare students for their jobs. Our courses are mainly scheduled in evenings and weekends to avoid bringing unnecessary disturbance to working students. CCE is striving to improve the quality of each programme and to serve as many people as possible. We do not hesitate to enter into collaboration with partners from all over the world to provide programmes with quality. To name a few, we have launched "Certificate in Advertising and Graphic Design" with the Hong Kong School of Design, an M. Sc. in Financial Management programme with the University of London, distance education courses with the School of Continuing Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong etc. We are strengthening our cooperation among other international entities, public and private sectors, professional bodies, and elite enterprises to further develop exchange activities and professional training. We are here to provide learning opportunities for adult learners.
