The major academic units of University of Macau (UM) include: Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, Graduate School and Honours College, as well as Centre for Continuing Education, Centre for Macau Studies, Centre for Pre-University Studies and English Language Centre. There are more than 6,600 students on campus. UM offers higher education that is challenging, interactive, and highly relevant. Our comprehensive educational and research programmes cover various academic disciplines, giving students the opportunity to learn and grow into world leaders in their chosen fields.

UM boasts an outstanding teaching force comprised of more than 400 full-time faculty members from around the world. Most of them hold PhD degrees, mostly awarded by world-famous universities such as the University of Oxford, the University of California, Berkeley, California Institute of Technology, the University of Melbourne and Peking University, etc.
